1970s, glorification of drugs movies aren't my genre. I'm talking more about law, which I technically practice, and baseball, which I literally love. This leads me to a useful article on the origin of
the infield fly rule. In essence, the hypothesis of the article is that the infield fly rule is the result of a need to regulate fairness in the game that would have been otherwise destroyed at the hands of the Baltimore Orioles. True, the game of baseball itself has been lately and thoroughly butchered by the Baltimore Orioles, but this discussion precedes that development by over 100 years.
